Updated for Shopify Dev Dashboard apps

Use Auto Refresh to store your Client ID and Client Secret on the device so it can renew Admin API tokens before they expire. Manual Token mode is still available if you prefer to exchange credentials on your computer.

Auto Refresh

Best for daily use. The device refreshes tokens automatically using Shopify client credentials.

Manual Token

Best when you do not want the device to store a Client Secret. Refresh the token yourself when it expires.

Install Firmware

Before You Begin

  • Connect your EleksCava device to your computer via USB
  • Make sure no other program is using the serial port
  • The device will restart automatically after installation
  • Do not disconnect during the update process
  • Have your Shopify Client ID and Client Secret ready

Select Version

Adds Shopify Auto Refresh for Dev Dashboard apps, a full token setup guide, scope checks, App automation token rejection, and a startup sound setting that defaults off.

Setup Guide

Create and Install Shopify App

  1. Login to Shopify Admin
  2. Open the Shopify Dev Dashboard and create an app
  3. Add the Admin API scope read_orders
  4. Release the app version and install it to your store
  5. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from app Settings

Configure Device

  1. Power on device, it enters AP mode automatically
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi: EleksCava-XXXX
  3. Visit http://192.168.4.1 in browser
  4. Configure Wi-Fi and Shopify credentials
  5. Choose Auto Refresh for automatic token renewal, or Manual Token for an externally generated access token
  6. Save and restart
